This privacy policy describes how Kidooo collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our services, including the Kidooo mobile app and the Kidooo web application at family.kidooo.ai (together, the "Services").
Kidooo is intended for parents, legal guardians, and adult caregivers. It is not designed for children to create accounts or use independently.
Account information: Name, email, authentication credentials or tokens, and basic settings.
Child profile and care information (provided by a parent/guardian): Child name or nickname, age/date of birth (optional), and information you choose to provide about routines, goals, preferences, and observations.
Child video uploads: Videos of your child that you choose to upload to the Services.
Uploaded documents: Documents you upload such as child development diagnosis reports, school IEP plans, evaluations, and related materials. These documents may contain sensitive information about your child and family.
Parent content: Notes, journals, responses to forms or questionnaires, messages, and feedback you submit.
Account and service activity: We record account and feature events such as registration, sign-in, uploads, report generation, feedback, timestamps, language, and app or browser information. Our servers and infrastructure providers may also process IP addresses and technical logs for delivery, security, troubleshooting, and performance.
Cookies and similar technologies: When you use the web version, we may use cookies or similar technologies (such as local storage) for sign-in, security, remembering your preferences, and basic analytics. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in.
We collect only the information needed to operate the Services and provide their core features. We do not require you to provide more information than is necessary to use Kidooo.

You are responsible for how you use any insights provided by Kidooo. Kidooo uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, insights, and practical recommendations based on the information you provide, including parent notes, uploaded documents, child profile information, and videos.
AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific circumstances. Kidooo is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You should use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.
We may share information in the following limited ways:
We use service providers to operate Kidooo. These include Amazon Web Services for authentication, hosting, databases, and file storage; OpenAI and Google Gemini for AI processing; Customer.io for account and service communications; and ElevenLabs for voice transcription when you use a voice-input feature. Depending on the feature you choose, we may send these providers account information, service events, voice recordings, or the child-related videos, documents, notes, profile information, and prior reports needed to provide that feature. We require providers that handle personal information on our behalf to use it only for the services they provide and to protect it consistent with their agreements with us and applicable law.
We may disclose information if required to comply with law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, children, the public, or our services.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate protections, and the recipient will remain bound by commitments at least as protective as this policy.

Kidooo is intended solely for use by parents and legal guardians. It is not directed to children under 13, and children may not create accounts or use the Services independently.
Parents and guardians may upload information about their child, including videos and documents. By doing so, you confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian (or otherwise legally authorized) and you consent to the collection and use of that information as described in this policy. We rely on this parental consent consistent with applicable children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where it applies.
Parents and guardians may review, correct, or delete their child's information at any time, and may withdraw consent, as described in Section 10.
If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us without appropriate authorization, contact hello@kidooo.ai and we will take appropriate steps, including deletion where applicable.
Because you may upload child development diagnosis reports, IEPs, evaluations, and child videos, Kidooo may process information that could be considered sensitive (including health-related and education-related information).
We use this information to provide the features you request, maintain your account and reports, protect the Services, and comply with law.
We never use health-related or other sensitive information for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining, and we never disclose it to advertising networks, data brokers, or information resellers.

No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Services, maintain your account and requested reports, and comply with legal obligations.
When we complete a verified deletion request, we delete or de-identify account information and content from active systems, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and backup requirements.
Copies in backups may remain until those backups are overwritten or expire.

You can delete your account and associated content, including child profiles, uploaded videos, documents, notes, and reports, directly within Kidooo by going to Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account and content are shared across the mobile and web Services, so deleting your account removes them from the Services as a whole. Deletion is permanent, and we may ask you to confirm the request to prevent accidental deletion. You may also request deletion by emailing hello@kidooo.ai. We may verify your identity before completing an email request. Limited retention may apply as described in Section 9.
You may withdraw consent to future processing of your or your child's information by deleting your account in Kidooo or by contacting hello@kidooo.ai. After the deletion is completed or we verify and complete your request, we will delete or de-identify the affected information, except where limited retention is permitted under Section 9.
Kidooo uses OpenAI and Google Gemini to generate AI outputs. When you submit content for an AI feature, Kidooo may send the content needed for that request, including videos, documents, notes, child profile information, prior reports, or chat messages, to one or both providers. Their handling of this information is governed by their applicable service terms and agreements with us.
We may use de-identified or aggregated information to evaluate and improve Kidooo. We do not use your identifiable videos, documents, notes, child profiles, reports, or chat content to train or fine-tune Kidooo models unless you separately agree to that use. Declining does not affect your ability to use Kidooo's core features.
If applicable law requires additional notices, opt-out rights, or opt-in consent for specific uses of data (including certain uses of sensitive information), we will follow those requirements.
This section applies to the Kidooo iOS app available on the Apple App Store.
Certain features require access to device capabilities, such as the camera, microphone, or photo library (for example, to record or upload videos of your child). The app requests these permissions only when needed for the relevant feature, and only after you grant permission through the iOS system prompt. You can change these permissions at any time in your device's Settings, and the app will respect your choices.

Kidooo is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated insights are accurate or complete. Kidooo is not a substitute for professional medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or treatment.
